HIPAA Notice

Last updated: May 27, 2026

1. MamaOnTrack is not a HIPAA-covered entity

HIPAA (the U.S. Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) applies to "covered entities" such as healthcare providers, health plans, and healthcare clearinghouses, and to their business associates. MamaOnTrack is a consumer family-organization app. We are not a covered entity, and we are not acting as a business associate to one.

2. What that means for your data

The information you enter — appointments, growth measurements, sleep, feeding, notes — is personal health information you choose to record for your own family. Even though HIPAA does not legally govern this data, we treat it with the same care:

  • Encrypted in transit and at rest.
  • Row-level security so only you and the family members you invite can read your records.
  • Never sold, never used for advertising.
  • You can export or permanently delete everything from Settings.

3. Not medical advice

MamaOnTrack is an organization tool, not a medical device or healthcare provider. Nothing in the app is medical advice. Always consult a qualified provider for medical decisions.

4. Sharing with providers

If you choose to share records (for example, exporting a PDF for a pediatrician), that exchange happens directly between you and your provider and is governed by their privacy practices, not ours.
